Intermediate Sewing Series - Stuffed Teddy Bear

Learn the basics of stuffed animal making while creating a classic teddy bear of your own. In this hands-on sewing class, you'll work through the entire process of turning a simple sewing pattern into a finished stuffed animal you can take home.

We'll cover tracing a sewing pattern, cutting fabric accurately, sewing darts to create shape, matching pattern pieces, sewing around curves and edges, inserting safety eyes and a safety nose, turning and stuffing your bear, and finishing the opening with hand stitching.

The teddy bear uses a simple two-piece pattern and four pieces of fabric, making it an approachable introduction to stuffed animal construction while still teaching many of the techniques you'll use in more advanced projects.

Everything is provided. Pattern, fabric, stuffing, safety eyes and nose, sewing machines, thread, tools, and all class supplies are included.

Class size is intentionally kept small so every student receives plenty of individual guidance.

Basic sewing experience is recommended. Students should be comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine and sewing a basic seam.
