Beginner Sewing Series - Ditsy Skirt

Learn the basics of garment sewing while creating your own comfortable, everyday skirt. This beginner-friendly class is perfect for students who are ready to take the next step beyond simple sewing projects. We’ll cover reading a sewing pattern, cutting fabric, creating gathers, sewing an elastic waistband, and hemming techniques in a relaxed, encouraging environment. By the end of class, you’ll head home with a finished skirt and the confidence to tackle more beginner garment projects on your own.

Everything is provided. Sewing machines, fabric, thread, elastic, patterns, tools, and all class supplies are included—just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!

Class size is intentionally kept small so every student receives plenty of individual guidance.

Basic sewing experience is recommended. Students should be comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine and sewing straight seams.
