Learn the basics of hand embroidery while creating a simple botanical hoop of your own. This beginner-friendly class is designed for anyone who wants to learn embroidery from the very beginning.
We'll cover how to prepare fabric in an embroidery hoop, work with embroidery floss, thread and secure your needle, and create several useful embroidery stitches including the running stitch, backstitch, stem stitch, lazy daisy, and French knot.
You'll use your new stitches to work through a simple botanical design, with plenty of time to practice and individual guidance along the way. You'll leave with your hoop project and the skills you need to continue embroidering at home.
Everything is provided. Fabric, embroidery hoop, embroidery floss, needle, pattern, and all class supplies are included.
Class size is intentionally kept small so every student receives plenty of individual guidance.
No experience necessary.
