Beginner Cross-Stitch – First Stitches

Learn the relaxing art of counted cross-stitch one stitch at a time. In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn the foundations of cross-stitch while working on a small pattern designed to help you practice the skills you'll use in future projects.

We'll cover how to read a cross-stitch chart, prepare and find the center of your fabric, separate embroidery floss, thread your needle, create neat and consistent stitches, count your stitches accurately, change colors, and finish your work.

You'll spend class working through your own cross-stitch project with plenty of individual guidance. Whether you finish during class or take a few stitches home with you, you'll leave knowing how to confidently continue your project on your own.

Everything is provided. Embroidery hoop, Aida cloth, embroidery floss, needle, pattern, and all class supplies are included.
